Easier to say who isn't (Maria Callas). Also Tebaldi and Sutherland are good candidates to not being (the observation would be senseless). She's probably One of The Many (the tiny part of the aria doesn't allow for evaluation). If you put a gun under my nose, I'd say Raina Kabaivanska, but more likely One of The (too) Many, alas.

I don't know who the performenr is, but here is some information for the other readers:

The aria is from Act II of "Tosca" by Puccini.
The title heroine is locked up in a room with the police chief.
She wants her boyfriend's life spared from the firing squad, but the police chief agrees only in exchange for her sexual services.
The police chief writes the document at a table where he had just enjoyed a steak dinner.
Meanwhile, Tosca sings this aria, asking God why he is rewarding her so meagerly after living such a good life.

When the time comes for the exchange, she notices the carving knife, gets an idea, and stabs the police chief to death.

In some posters advertising performances of the opera, the initial letter in "Tosca" is made into a carving knife.

I hope Daphne doesn't stab Niles.
