The correlate color is canari yellow or lemon yellow.
If you want your furniture to “pop out” from a dull environment, choose this.
same color environment often results in depression of mood of the inhabitant, because of impressing faint dull .

don’t go dark since your furniture is already a dark blue. I think that light grey would go with your furniture and already somewhat established blue and grey color scheme. Just make sure it is a different shad eof grey than what is on the floors.

my wife thinks orange would give the place a vivid spirit, blue will be monotone and Grey will be too dull and if orange is too bright for you yellow will be less bright but it will also be vibrant

If you want to totally brighten the room up, gold is the opposite of blue on the color wheel…
Now that’s a pretty bold choice and kindof 1970′s if you ask me…So what I would suggest, is that you tone it down a bit to maybe a nice deep terracotta, and throw in some nice turquoise around a window or two, maybe with some silk vine…But deffinitely throw some yellow/gold in there maybe just in a vase or a bit in some border…That will brighten it up and give a cheery feel to the room..

Since you have the grey floor I’d go with the blue. Hard to say what shade without seeing.

Go get a lot of samples and come home and pick something, or bring a sofa pillow etc to pull out a complimentary color (colour my British or Canadian friend!). Consider the mood you’re after. If you want a light fresh mood then head in that direction, if you’re looking for something more rich and deep carefully head that way or do an accent wall.
